About Us

The Royal Collage of Art is a project that brings together two participating groups of people into a collective creative experience. 13 RCA students and 6 members of Accumulate - The art school for the homeless - were engaged in visualising their memories of London using a mix of drawing, painting and collage.

A series of activities were designed to bring a sense of community quickly and effectively between us all. From puzzle solving to brainstorming, the tasks were tailored to suit the buzzing, creative and friendly atmosphere we wanted to create.

Needless to say all participants felt instantly at ease, with a background of music and snacks, people were able to express their creativity in a pressure free environment. It was interesting to see how the different interpretations of the tasks united to create a one-of-a-kind map which in a visual expression of our feelings of London.
